MCYU January Family Lecture: "How do we move and why is it so good for us?\u201d

This Month's Topic: “How do we move and why is it so good for us?” ”

Have you ever wondered how your body lets you run, jump, dance, or even wiggle your fingers? This talk will explore the amazing teamwork between your brain, nerves, muscles, and bones that makes every movement possible. We’ll look at how messages travel from your brain like lightning-fast text messages, telling your muscles when to contract and your joints how to bend. You’ll discover why moving isn’t just fun—it’s one of the best things you can do for your body and your brain. Exercise keeps your heart strong, your bones sturdy, and your mind sharp. It even helps you sleep better and feel happier. We’ll break down the science into easy-to-understand ideas, with fun examples you can try yourself. By the end, you’ll see movement not just as something you can do, but something that helps you thrive!
