LIZ OVERS
Liz releases Nightjar, her debut solo album in March, made alongside the Sussex coast with Neill MacColl together with Ben Nicholls and David Tomlins.
This year She's sung for The Nettle Dress documentary, a hymn to the healing power of slow craft and opened at screenings, explored Mermaids with Folklorist Sophia Kingshill, performed Fallen Women with Deborah Sim for the Museum of Sex Objects and led singing walks amongst the hawthorn and gorse of local downland.
She has been a songwriter and singer with Chalk Horse Music and for five years hosted a radio show covering the folklore, music and social history of Sussex.
Liz was reviously signed to Atlantic Records and that led to a number 1 club record in the US.
JASON MCNIFF
Jason is a troubadour who has made nine albums which people call Folk, Americana, or Alt. Country. There is an Englishness in his guitar playing however, and you might like to think of Bert Jansch or Wizz Jones meeting John Prine & Townes Van Zandt. Time Out writes, ‘McNiffs quiet, intimate, fragile-sounding vocals draw you into his world, an almost timeless place, through which he drifts, a romantic loner, a dreamer, at home with the blues.’ He is often touted as one of the UKs most overlooked musical treasures.
'I love Jason's version (of Fisherman's blues)'

'Jason's versions sound so fresh, whilst staying true to Bert's timeless music'
