Join us for our second annual MCMC Community Music Day, a celebration of music-making for all ages in an informal and relaxed environment! The day will include performances by instrumental ensembles, early childhood music groups, ukulele, drumming, strings, and keyboard. The public will also have the opportunity to experience a wide variety of participatory music opportunities, including movement and drumming. Fun activities like balloon art also included, as well as food from the Southwood Orchestra Booster Club!
The day will also include Play-A-Piece, a fun day of performing in a non-competitive environment for a clinician, and a Chamber Music Workshop for pre-formed groups to work with leading artists in our community.
With the support of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners.
