About this Event
Got garments hiding at the back of your wardrobe that you love but never wear? Bring up to 2 items along and give them a brand‑new lease of life in this relaxed, hands‑on upcycling workshop.
Led by fashion and textile designer, and founder of Dundee‑based sustainable label Dreamland Clothing Ruby Coyne, this two‑part workshop is all about creativity, circular fashion and making something truly unique. Since 2015, Ruby has been creating original textile designs while delivering inspiring workshops that encourage hands‑on making and sustainable fashion choices.
Across this session, you’ll learn how to cut, crop, patch and rework your clothing using a mix of sewing machines, hand stitching and iron‑on techniques. Ruby will guide you step by step, helping you transform up to two items of clothing into a one‑of‑a‑kind piece you’ll love to wear.
You’ll also have access to a fantastic selection of patches, trimmings and fabrics, perfect for adding those extra personal touches and finishing details.
No sewing experience needed — just bring yourself, up to two garments, and a bit of creative curiosity.Suitable for ages 16+
