McKay Park, located on Clearwater Beach at 605 Mandalay Ave., reopened on Feb. 12, after the completion of major renovations. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at Friday, Feb. 21, 10 a.m. at McKay Park. Park improvements include six new pickleball courts, a new playground, outdoor exercise equipment, a resurfaced bocce ball court, new shade structures, stormwater improvements, improved landscaping and park amenities. McKay Park has been one of Clearwater Beach’s signature spaces for more than 40 years, bringing together residents and visitors alike. This beautification project will allow the park to welcome guests for years to come and to meet the increasing demand for pickleball courts in the city of Clearwater.
The newly renovated McKay Park was funded in part by a $150,000 donation from the Frenchy’s Foundation.
