At the April Speak Series lecture on Sunday, April 12, Kendrick Bisset, a retired railroad employee and a life-long railroad enthusiast will present a program on railroads.While in college, Bisset was given co-operative education opportunities in the signal drafting group of the Milwaukee Railroad and the Chicago Transit Authority. These led to permanent employment in the CTA signal group, followed by work as a railroad signal system consultant. His entire 44-year career was in railroad signaling system design.
Since childhood, he has been a fan of model railroading, and has worked with several railroad societies and museums across the country.
This free program will be held at the Main Street Community Center at 1003 N. Main St., Edwardsville.
