About this Event
2026 marks the 135th year of journalism at Stanford and more than a decade of focus on the combination of data journalism and storytelling in the Department of Communication’s journalism classes. This year’s McClatchy and Rebele Symposia, “135 Years of Journalism at Stanford: Celebrating Innovations in Story Discovery and Storytelling,” recognize these milestones.
Panels will feature recent alums reflecting on the changing nature of reporting, how Stanford journalism classes prepared them to adapt, and how journalism instruction should evolve in the era of AI.
