Hugo Jennings
Hugo Jennings is a jazz pianist, singer and bandleader, orchestral conductor, teacher, and music curator. He has established himself as a respected name on the London jazz scene, both through his playing and through his work as founder and director of the highly successful Battersea Jazz Festival. He has performed regularly at various jazz venues, and concert halls, such as Toulouse Lautrec Jazz Club, Hampstead Jazz Club, The Junction, Battersea Power Station, Pizza Express Dean Street, and the Clapham Grand. He also works as conductor of Social London Orchestra and the South London Jazz Orchestra.
Hugo will be joined by Lorenzo Morabito on bass and Louis Brown on drums. These three musicians have been playing together under the name of the Hugo Jennings Trio for over three years, and have performed all over London and beyond together. Their music is inspired by musicians and composers such as Barry Harris, Thelonious Monk, Charlie Parker, Cedar Walton, Duke Ellington, Billy Strayhorn, and many more. Lorenzo Morabito and Louis Brown are two of the most in-demand young jazz musicians, and can be heard regularly at some of London's most prestigious venues alongside many prominent jazz names from all over the world.
