Mayor’s State of the City: On the Road

Please join Mayor Johnstone for his annual State of the City Address. This year’s address will offer a candid and honest perspective on New Westminster’s progress and the challenges facing our community today.

As residents continue to navigate uncertain times, rising costs of living, housing pressures, and broader economic and global uncertainty, the Mayor will speak to how these issues are being felt locally. He will highlight the important role of municipal leadership in supporting livable neighbourhoods, strengthening community connections, improving affordability, and ensuring New Westminster remains a welcoming and inclusive place for all.

Mayor Johnstone will also outline his priorities on key city initiatives, the partnerships needed to move them forward, and how the City is working alongside residents, community organizations, and local partners to respond to change.

A Question & Answer session will follow the Mayor’s Address, featuring questions from the audience.
