About this Event
Take a trip down memory lane at the Mayor’s Senior Social, Through the Windshield of Time. Join us for a delightful afternoon celebrating the stories, memories, and music that shaped Red Deer through the 1930s to the 1970s.
Guests are invited to get into the spirit of the journey by dressing in their favourite style from the 1930’s to the 1970’s - though dressing up is completely optional!
Enjoy an afternoon of nostalgia, story-sharing, and live music performed by a quartet from the Red Deer Symphony Orchestra, who will take us on a musical journey back in time. Together, we’ll travel through the decades and celebrate the experiences and memories of Red Deer seniors. If the music moves you, feel welcome to get up and dance!
Mayor Cindy Jefferies and City Manager Tara Lodewyk will open the festivities and spend time chatting with guests about what has made Red Deer special to them. Members of City Council and City staff will also be there to visit with attendees and serve delicious refreshments and sweet treats.
This free event is open to all seniors 55+ in the community, so bring your friends and join us for an afternoon of music, memories, and community connection.
We ask that you reserve tickets in advance so that we can plan for the number of guests who will be joining us. Please reserve your free tickets to this gathering by May 29
