Be there as the magic begins! The Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony marks the official kickoff to the Comcast/Xfinity North Pole Trail of Lights, when every bulb shines bright for the first time. Gates open at 5:15 p.m. with free refreshments and live music. Starting at 5:45p.m., enjoy student choirs from James Walker Elementary, Daniel Young Elementary, and William Yates Elementary, plus the lighting countdown led by Mayor Lievsay and special guests! Stick around to walk through the light display and meet Santa. The evening will be emceed by KMBC's Pete Grigsby. This event is free to attend!
