About this Event
About the Program:
During Maya Lin’s lifetime, the American architect and sculptor has won many awards for her work in designing memorials and exploring environmental themes through sculpture. Continuing our Young Architects Series, we’ll learn more about Maya through a read aloud of Maya Lin: Artist-Architect of Light and Lines by Jeanne Walker Harvey, and an exploration of her land art installations. Then, incorporating similar themes of nature and world peace, we will create collage art work of our own, envisioning landscapes we would want to design someday! Ages 7+. RSVP required.
