Have you ever wondered how some plants seem to be able to cope with cold weather better than others? At our talk on May 27th, Andy Wetten, from Reading University, will explain how some plants have developed defences against very cold temperatures. He will then talk about how his work on plant freezing helped with the conservation of the UK National Fruit Collection and produced a gold medal-winning display at Chelsea!This talk is on 27th May at Caversham Baptist Church at 7:30pm, free for members and £3 for visitors.
