This month, Paul Woodman from the Portchester Civic Society has agreed to come along and talk about the "Bedenham Blast" that occured just across the water from Portchest in the 1950's.Paul also has a very interesting artifact that may/may not be evidence of the blast which should be super exciting and encourage you all to get down to the shortline to find more!
I'm hoping he will also bring along a collection of clay pipes from the local factory that used to be situated at the top of Castle Street so that you can scan the flint and seaweed for these elusive "eyes only" finds...
