In 1929, Lei Day was made an official holiday in the islands in celebration of the Hawaiian custom of making and wearing lei.Festivities involving hula, music, cultural demonstrations and local vendors are normally held on May 1st each year.
This year, we invite you to enjoy performances from our Hyatt Regency Maui ‘Ohana as we honor our keiki (children of Hawaii) by showcasing our History, Culture and Traditions with you and your ‘ohana.
