Join us for our Monthly Community Hikes! These hikes are free and open to women, non-binary and gender fluid folks who feel comfortable in spaces that center the experiences of women. Bring your friends, bring your trip mates, bring total strangers who look like they like nature! We're just excited to gather with all you nature nerds. This month, we'll be hiking at Ewing Park on the south side of the Des Moines metro. The trail we'll take is about 2.7 miles and is dirt and grass. It meanders through woodland and the blooming lilac trees in the arboretum. It is beginner friendly and is a maintained trail. Dogs and kids welcome! We will meet by the Nature Trail head on the south side of the park.
We recommend bringing a small backpack, water bottle filled with water, an extra layer, and maybe a granola bar or other snack!
