Order of the Rusty Nail Degree Open to all Master Masons! If you or a Master Mason you know hasn't been to Lodge in awhile and would like to brush up on ritual and other related items, or if you would just like to come enjoy the fellowship, come on out and join Zion Lodge No. 1 as it hosts a Rusty Nail Degree! The Order of the Rusty Nail is a short program for use in a tiled Lodge to refresh the memories of Brethren who perhaps have not attended Lodge in awhile. The degree covers the passwords and signs of the three Blue Lodge degrees, and it touches on Lodge customs and reviews the mysteries and legends of Freemasonry as taught in the ritual.
The Rusty Nail Degree is a FREE event open to ALL Regular Master Masons in good standing holding a valid 2026 dues card and conferred in under an hour, and will be instructed by:
Josh A. Daniels, PM (Zion No. 1, and BGP Dist. 29), as Worshipful Master (WM)
Matthew R. Shelton, PM (Pontiac No. 21), as Senior Warden (SW)
Ryan M. Clay, PM (Walled Lake No. 528, and BGP Dist. 23), as Junior Warden (JW)
Josh DeBolt, SD (Zion No. 1), as the Senior Deacon (SD)
Event Details:
Where & When: Rusty Nail Degree from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm, Greek Ionic Lodge room (5th floor Center). Gavel at 7:00 pm, with refreshment beforehand. Parking is available in the rear lot behind the Temple, enter from Second Avenue just north of Temple Avenue.

Cost: The event is FREE.
