His leadership journey began in the cockpit as a tactical helicopter pilot in the Canadian Armed Forces and later with STARS Air Ambulance, where decisions carried immediate consequences. But it was in the boardrooms of national and global financial firms, over two decades in executive roles, where he saw the same pattern repeat:
