German-born British musician Max Richter is one of the most influential composers of his generation, known for his fusion of classical technique and electronic textures across genre-defining solo albums and acclaimed scores for film, dance, and fashion. From his groundbreaking albums Memoryhouse and The Blue Notebooks to the iconic eight-hour immersive Sleep, Richter’s work has captivated millions around the world.
Richter has received an Oscar nomination for his original score to Chloé Zhao’s acclaimed 2025-release Hamnet, complementing a career of collaborations with visionary directors including Martin Scorsese, Denis Villeneuve, and Ari Folman. He has also scored ballets by Wayne McGregor and runway shows for Dior with Creative Director Kim Jones, reflecting a versatility that transcends genres and mediums.
