A few years ago, Max García Conover connected with Paula Prieto through a music collaboration site, and her voice became an essential part of his winter recordings. Together, they created Everything in Winter and the single Coming Up Low. This show is a rare chance to see their musical partnership come to life on stage in Maine.
Max García Conover:
Max García Conover is a songwriter from the burned over district of New York, now based in Maine. In the past he’s collaborated with Son Canciones, Haley Heynderickx, Ben Cosgrove, Paula Prieto, The Ballroom Thieves, and Julie Arsenault. In between songs he tells stories and those stories have been featured on The Moth Radio Hour and Stories From The Stage.
Paula Prieto:
Paula is a singer-songwriter from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Though born in the U.S., her heart beats to the rhythm of her Argentine roots. With a sweet voice that captivates listeners’ hearts and a passion for music that transcends borders, Paula Prieto has established herself as an emerging figure in the Argentine music scene. Her latest EP, esto es para mí, struck a chord with listeners, thanks to soul-stirring singles like “Lo que elegiste” and “Yo nunca sé nada de ti.” In 2024, she opened Lollapalooza Argentina and toured with artists like Mexican singer-songwriter Bratty and Portuguese singer-songwriter MARO, earning recognition on international stages. Fueled by her passion for storytelling and her love for the guitar, she’s gearing up for her next musical venture, blending folk, rock, and indie-alternative in her debut album, TEMPORAL, set to release later this year.
