The word “maundy” comes from the Latin mandatum, meaning commandment. On this night, the night Jesus was betrayed, Jesus washed the feet of his disciples, gave them a new commandment to love one another as he had loved them, and shared a Passover meal together. Join us as we orient our hearts toward Christ’s open table, and share in Holy Communion together, commemorating the last supper that Jesus shared with his disciples before his crucifixion. The Maundy Thursday service will be held in the Sanctuary on April 2 at 7 pm and will feature the Keller UMC Chancel Choir.
