About this Event
Join the Maui Arts & Cultural Center for the 2026 Summer Arts Institute, a three day professional development experience for educators and teaching artists (Grades K to 6). This immersive institute focuses on arts integration and place based learning, using creative movement and hands on strategies to support meaningful classroom practice.
Participants will engage in interactive workshops, collaborative lesson design, and reflective practices that strengthen planning, facilitation, and student assessment. The institute is designed for both new and experienced educators looking to bring more creativity, connection, and engagement into their teaching.
The experience includes both on site sessions at MACC and a final day morning huakaʻi to Keālia Pond, where participants will deepen observation skills (kilo) and connect learning to Maui’s natural environment.
