About this Event
Join us this February as the acclaimed Matyas Gayer Trio returns to the Liszt Institute London for another evening of exceptional jazz.
Hungarian pianist Matyas Gayer is widely regarded as one of the leading voices of his generation. A two-time finalist in the Montreux Jazz Piano Competition, Gayer has developed a distinctive style that honours the jazz piano tradition while forging his own unique musical voice. He has performed across Europe alongside jazz luminaries including Eddie Henderson, Ralph Moore, Scott Hamilton, Rick Margitza, Don Menza, Jim Rotondi, Luis Bonilla, and Jesse Davis.
For this concert, Gayer is joined by two British jazz legends: Dave Green on bass and Steve Brown on drums. Together, they form a sophisticated and highly creative trio, captivating audiences with their dynamic interplay and expressive performances.
Having previously performed at the Liszt Institute and received widespread acclaim for their album Westbourne Park (Ubuntu Music), the trio continues to delight London audiences with their masterful and engaging live shows.
