Do you have a mattress or box spring you no longer need? Recycle them with the Department of Public Works and local business Mattress Shredderz!Our next mattress recycling event is Saturday, April 11th at the Richmond Park North dirt lot (the intersection of Thornapple Ct NW and Tamarack Ave NW) from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. or until space lasts. Mattresses and box springs of all sizes are welcome.
This event is for Grand Rapids residents at no out of pocket cost!
Participation requirements:
- Open to City of Grand Rapids homeowners and renters (please bring proof of residency).
- Residents must bring their mattresses and boxsprings to the event site.
- Residents must be able to haul the mattresses and boxsprings out of their own vehicles.
- Residential participants only; no private companies or businesses.
- Limit 2 mattresses/ boxspring sets (total of 4 items) per household.
