Did you know that falls are the leading cause of emergency room visits in Dubois County? Every year, one in four older Americans experiences a fall. Falls are not only common and costly—they’re also largely preventable. The Dubois County Health Department is proud to partner with Generations, Area 13 Agency on Aging, to bring A Matter of Balance to our community—a program designed to help prevent falls and keep you safe and active. A Matter of Balance is an 8-week class in a group setting that focuses on making small changes to prevent falls.This free course will run June 2 through July 21. We will meet at the health department every Tuesday from 1:00PM to 3:00PM ET. Spots are limited. Registration is required. This course is limited to Dubois County residents.
