About this Event
Stop talking and start listening: coaching skills that build trust and talent
This is the second in a new series of bi-monthly masterclasses held at UWTSD’s Innovation Matrix building, designed to give local businesses practical insight and support.
A practical, engaging workshop that equips you with simple but powerful coaching skills to strengthen relationships and boost performance.
The “quick and easy” route for many leaders is to give answers and unintentionally build a team of followers. The real, long‑term value comes from shifting away from providing solutions and towards asking thoughtful questions - developing a team that takes responsibility, thinks creatively and grows in confidence.
Leaders who coach don’t just achieve better results - they create workplaces where people feel heard, valued, and motivated to contribute.
Whether you’re a leader in business or just interested in how to have more empowering conversations, this session provides you with a set of practical coaching habits you can apply immediately to transform your conversations, whether at home or work.
Through interactive scenarios, live practice, and proven frameworks, participants learn how to move from directing to genuinely empowering others.
What participants walk away with
- A simple set of coaching skills they can apply immediately
- A repeatable structure for better conversations
- Greater confidence in asking questions and listening deeply
- Practical tools for building trust and unlocking team potential
- Clear actions to strengthen leadership impact back in the workplace
