This is the first in a new series of bi-monthly masterclasses held at UWTSD’s Innovation Matrix building, designed to give local businesses practical insight and support.

LinkedIn is a powerful platform for business owners, but many people struggle with one question - what should I actually post?

This workshop will cut through the rubbish and the bro-marketing to give you clear, practical tips on how LinkedIn actually works now, and how you can use it to promote yourself and your business in a natural, easy way.

We’ll look at what kinds of posts work well, and how to develop a simple strategy that doesn’t overwhelm you.

You’ll leave with a clearer idea of what LinkedIn likes, practical content ideas you can start using straight away, and a calmer approach to the platform that avoids the pressure to post constantly or post videos of you crying in your car.

This session is perfect for business owners, SMEs and start-ups who want to build visibility, credibility and relationships on LinkedIn without sounding salesy or resorting to downloadable e-books and backward facing baseball caps.

About Lucy

The session is led by Lucy Beddall, a marketing consultant with over 25 years’ experience working with brands including Investec, Legal & General, Universal Records and Scope.

Lucy now works with many start-ups and SMEs through local authorities, delivering workshops and support programmes, as well as providing strategic and hands-on marketing support to businesses across Swansea and beyond, mainly in the B2B space.

The session runs from 10am to 11am. You’re very welcome to stay afterwards for a chat and informal networking.

There will also be an opportunity to talk with key UWTSD staff about collaborating with the university, and if you’d like you can join a short tour of some of the facilities in the Innovation Matrix building, including the robotics lab.
