For almost three decades, the JCA has promoted the importance of cultural arts in Northeast Florida and is proud to present our annual celebration of the arts. Our Jacksonville Jewish Cultural Arts Festival is a series of engaging events featuring books, films, visual arts, music, and more that are enriched with Jewish heritage and culture. This year they kick off the Festival with a concert at Murray Hill Theatre featuring Matisyahu. Matisyahu is aGrammy-nominated Jewish-American singer, rapper, and beatboxer. His music blends reggae, rock, hip hop, and beatboxing with traditional Jewish themes and Hasidic influences. He incorporates jazz scat singing and Jewish prayer techniques into his vocals. Matisyahu is known for his energetic performances and meaningful lyrics. His 2005 single "King Without a Crown" reached the Top 40 in the United States. Come experience Matisyahu and his powerful messages through his music and lyrics.
