The “Matinee Disco” at Joyface is the Matinee dance party that started it all. Join us for a multi-generational evening of disco & vintage hits, bubbles, confetti, & pizza in a 70s inspired cocktail lounge.

70s Disco, Funk, Motown, 80s Pop, & a splash of 90s Dance. Think artists like Abba, Donna Summer, Madonna, Rick James, Crystal Waters, & Robyn. We'll also be doing some holiday songs to get you in the spirit. Inspo playlist.

Disco chic encouraged; but really whatever makes you feel like dancing.

What to expect?

A night of disco & vintage pop amongst a beautiful crowd of 30 & 40 somethings. The music will escalate by 6:00pm, pizza will be served at ~8pm and is included with your ticket.

Love to party, but also love a good night’s rest? (Looking at you millennials 👀)With Matinée, you can have both.It’s a “night time” dance party that lets you have a wild night out…and be home by 11pm.

The party starts at 5pm, peaks at 8, over at 10. Oh and we serve pizza around 7:30pm to give you a second wind.

Hosted by a few of NYC’s funkiest disco & dance DJs, Matinée has been selling out one of New York’s most beloved discos with sets that past Matineers have called “an undeniable feel good sound” and “the best night of my life”.

Nightlife pretty much only caters to 20 somethings. Matinée wants to change that.

We’re working to create a space where our fellow Millennials and beyond can step away from adult responsibilities and let loose for a while – creating memories with old friends and hopefully make some new ones.
