Join us on the Stage at Mt. Savage Middle School!Mt. Savage Middle School’s Drama Underground is bringing Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical JR. to the stage from March 27 to March 29, 2026.
This production is a high-energy, 60-minute adaptation of the Tony Award-winning Broadway hit. The story follows Matilda Wormwood, a brilliant young girl with a sharp mind, a vivid imagination, and secret psychokinetic powers.
Despite being mistreated by her cruel parents and facing the terrifying, child-hating headmistress Miss Trunchbull, Matilda finds an ally in her kind teacher, Miss Honey. Together with her fellow "revolting children," Matilda uses her courage and cleverness to stand up against injustice and rewrite her own story.
The production, featuring approximately 45 students from grades 4–8, is packed with catchy songs and high-energy dance numbers.
