About this Event
This event takes place on Monday the 16th of February and is the second of MathsWorld London's year long programme of monthly evening talks and events.
Our two speakers will be exploring the wonders of space, from NASA's Artemis moon exploration programme to Earth's scintillating aurora, with opportunity to answer questions at the end.
Alongside the talks and exhibits, MathsWorld staff will be folding origami stars and star shields for a communal art piece, as well as enlisting your help to calculate Pi using the same method as an upcoming moon mission!
Visitors will have the opportunity to arrive from 18.15 to explore the ground floor of MathsWorld before entry to the upstairs talk area opens at 18:50. The talk will begin at approximately 19.00 and last approximately 1 hour, allowing plenty of time to explore the centre afterwards before we close at 21:00.
This event has been funded by the UK Space Agency.
