Has maths got you muddled? Our small class will focus on techniques to improve your confidence with numbers
and you can work towards an Entry Level City and Guilds maths qualification. There are 18-weekly lessons, then in week 19 there is an opportunity to take a City and Guilds exam. This class is aimed at learners who do not already have a grade 1-3 at GCSE.
The course is broken down into accessible units with examples and practice questions linked to everyday life. Units covered included:
- Number: adding and subtracting; simple multiplication and division; sequences and patterns.
- Shape, space and measure: working with length, weight and capacity; using time and dates.
- Handling data: reading information from charts and graphs.
It is useful to have your own calculator, pen and notepad.
Complete the booking enquiry on this page which will send you an enrolment form to complete via email. Your application will then be checked to confirm you qualify for a funded place on the course.
By enrolling on this accredited qualification, you agree to,
- Attend class every week.
- Complete homework set.
To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:
- Complete the EVENTBRITE BOOKING.
- Complete our INSPIRE ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM for each person attending the course.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:
