Mather Workshop at the American Writers Museum

Anyone age 55 and better is invited to get inspired, connect with others, and get creative with Mather, a not-for-profit dedicated to creating Ways to Age Well. We’ll gather in the museum for:

• An exclusive visit to the galleries including including a presentation by Museum staff featuring the life and work of Maya Angelou in celebration of Black History Month.
• Light refreshments with discussion and a chance to mingle with others.
• A guided hands-on session: create found poetry inspired by the words of Maya Angelou and your own upcycled journal to hold your poem.
• Receive a free gift from the American Writers Museum featuring Maya Angelou.

No previous art experience is necessary. Registration required.
