Kiewit Luminarium guests are invited to a Wednesday night of play. Come meet Dr. Henry Segerman, Professor of Mathematics at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. Dr. Segerman will have an assortment of 3D printed toys that he has designed. Guests are encouraged to come meet Dr. Segerman and learn about the intricate math that makes these playful and beautiful designs possible.
About the Instructor: Dr. Henry Segerman
Dr. Henry Segerman is a mathematician, working mostly in three-dimensional geometry and topology, and a mathematical maker/artist, working mostly in 3D printing. He is a professor in the Department of Mathematics at Oklahoma State University, and author of the book Visualizing Mathematics with 3D Printing.
He was the first person to publish a book on mathematical 3D printing, and is also a recreational mathematician and mathematical artist with expertise in virtual reality.
