About Shaka Club:
Take the guessing out of going out with the Shaka Club. Every week, we host an array of events for NYC’s 20, 30 and 40+somethings. From 100+ person parties to intimate happy hours, our events are your go-to place to meet like-minded people in your age range and have a great time while doing it. Whether you're new to the city or simply seeking fresh connections, come hang out!
Tickets to all Shaka Club events include our trademark event curation, curated guest list of people your age, on-site Shaka staff, private or semi-private venue access, event photography, party favors, and more! You’ll always be able to order whatever food and drinks you’d like from the venue’s offerings on your own tab directly through the venue.

About The Event:
Matchbox is a software powered by the technology behind the Marriage Pact that's matched over 750,000 people to date with their most compatible peers. This is NOT a dating event - matches will be focused on platonic relationships, but you will have the option to indicate whether you'd be open to having your match lead to something a little more than a platonic relationship, and the algorithm will match accordingly... 😉
Access to happy hours like this are a free member perk. If you are not on a membership plan, you'll need to pay a fee to attend. You can sign up for membership here.
Here's how it works
- 7:30 PM: Upon arrival, you’ll take a matching questionnaire built by Matchbox's team of relationship scientists then hit the bar and mingle with other attendees.
- 8:00 PM: You'll meet up with the first group of people you're most compatible with - the Matchbox algorithm will identify the group based on relationship science, AI, and Nobel Prize-winning economics.
- 8:30 PM: You'll meet up with the second, smaller group of people who you're likely to get along with.
- 9:00 PM: THE person at happy hour who you're MOST compatible with will be revealed to you!
- 9:30 PM: Event concludes, but you are welcome to stay in the space and hang out!

Come with an open mind and don't take it too seriously! This matching process is a fun way to mingle with more people than you typically would at happy hour. It's the perfect excuse to enter new conversations!
Here's what to expect
LOG IN & SAVE! If you already have an account with us, log in to earn loyalty points for your ticket purchases. When you're logged in, loyalty rewards and discounted member pricing will automatically be applied to tickets in your cart! The club's typical refund and cancellation policy applies. No entry without advance ticket purchase or member RSVP.
Note: The age range is not an enforced restriction. If you are slightly older or younger than the ages listed, you can still sign up to attend, but you can expect that most attendees will be in the stated age range. And don't worry! We will be repeating great venues for different ages, so everyone will be able to enjoy them!
