Learn all about matcha and the best practices for making your own matcha latte at home in this hands on workshop. You'll learn everything you need to know while putting it all into practice as you craft your very own matcha and hojicha (roasted matcha) drinks.
This 1.5 workshop will cover the following:
- Purchasing a high quality matcha and how to determine if it's a good one.
- Must have tools for creating the perfect cup.
- Techniques and practices to level up your matcha.
- Proper ratios of water, matcha, sweetner.
- The biggest mistakes people make when preparing matcha.
In addition to hands-on training, you'll walk away with recipes cards and some of your very own tools to create matcha and hojicha lattes at home.
Your instructor is Kim Moran, owner of Habitual Wellness Cafe in Abbotsford. Kim has been an avid matcha drinker for nearly 10 years and has travelled to Uji, Japan (famously known for their matcha) to learn first-hand about matcha growing practices, techniques and history.
