The upcoming workshop is Mata ni Pachedi a traditional textile art from Ahmedabad. This sacred art form created with hand-painting on cotton fabric is used in temporary shrines dedicated to the Mataji.
This guided hands-on session will introduce you to this unique art allowing you to learn the rich symbolism and stories of deities and mythological figures central to this tradition. A special feature of this art is the use of bamboo brushes which are used to create intricate designs. You`ll even get to take your own beautiful Mataji artwork home with you!
