Come join our in-person Masters Swimming Programme designed especially for the LGBTQ+ community! Whether you're aiming to improve your skills or just have fun in a welcoming and supportive environment, this is the place for you!
When: Friday evenings, 7.30pm to 9.00pm
What Dates:
- Week 1 = Fri 13th Mar
- Week 2 = Fri 20th Mar
- Week 3 = Fri 27th Mar
- BREAK FOR EASTER
- Week 4 = Fri 10th Apr
- Week 5 = Fri 17th Apr
Cost: €30pp + Eventbrite registration fee (only €6 per session!)
Masters training is interval training for adult swimmers. This can be used to improve fitness, socialise, get technical tips, improve stamina and endurance and learn about competitions if that is something that interests you, or just enjoy swimming with like minded individuals.
You should be able to swim 1 length of a 25m pool and be comfortable out of your depth.
This 5 week programme will give an overall view of masters swimming in a non competitive environment. You will not be racing anyone and will be in lanes with swimmers of a similar speed and ability. We will cover the types of sessions, how they are run, the types equipment, intervals and timings and much much more.
This 5 week course would aim to allow swimmers to progress to regular sessions for your own enjoyment or involvement with any of the masters swimming clubs in Dublin that might suit your location and schedule.
