The Pan American Symphony Orchestra (PASO) is joined by Latin Grammy award-winning Pedro Giraudo Trio and Javier Sanchez on bandoneón at the Terrace Theater of the Kennedy Center on March 29, 2025 at 7:30 PM.This concert features not only the music of Astor Piazzolla, but also new tangos by Pedro Giraudo, and other young tango composers. Nuevo tango is characteristically innovative. It includes counterpoint, new rhythms, and beautiful melodies. As Astor Piazzolla himself said, “It may not be tango, but it mirrors the spirit of our city and of today’s porteño” (resident of Buenos Aires). And the most prolific ambassador of nuevo tango in Washington, DC is Maestro Buslje and the Pan American Symphony Orchestra. This is exciting music you won’t want to miss!
