This masterclass will be delivered by Sabrei Ackah, Traineeship Coordinator and Skills and Employment Recruitment Officer at Big Creative Training.
Sabrei has experience kickstarting creative careers through her previous experience in recruiting for creative apprenticeships. Her tips, guidance and feedback on creative CVs, cover letters, portfolios and interviews has resulted in candidates securing creative apprenticeship roles.
She now helps to mould the next generation of creative talent through her coordination of Big Creative Training’s traineeship programme which consists of work experience placements, short courses and work preparation training. The topics covered in the work preparation training sessions have been designed and structured by Sabrei in a way that the trainees are provided with the tools to kickstart their creative careers. Many Trainees have gone on to secure creative apprenticeships, creative entry-level roles or pursue higher education.
Sabrei also founded the creative careers platform ‘Sabrei at Work’ where she showcases her career journey and provides value to her audience by sharing tips, events, jobs and opportunities related to the creative industries.
