About this Event

About:
What does being a ninja have to do with improv? The Ninja, Pirate, Robot theory was created by UCB performer Billy Merritt. This theory proposes that improvisers can be categorized into 3 groups and describes the behaviors and tendencies of those 3 types of improvisers: creative initiators, grounded reactors, and people who do both, aka "ninjas". In this workshop for advanced improvisers, we'll gain understanding around the value of being an improv "ninja", and workshop skills to help you become that well-rounded utility player.

About the Instructor:
Katie Drown is a lifelong stage performer with over 14 years of experience in the improv comedy art form. She delved into the vibrant and upcoming comedy scene in Columbus, Ohio in 2014, making her mark as a professional improv performer and improv educator. Katie finds immense joy in crafting and leading improv workshops for businesses, adult improv enthusiasts throughout Ohio, and for college improv troupes from across the United States. She is co-founder of WitWorks, a workforce development company that offers workshops that utilize improv games and principles for team building and growth. Currently, she is a valued member of three highly acclaimed shows in Columbus, Ohio; "TBD the Musical," "Ladies Who Lounge," and "ROT".
