As the season turns to fall, Historic Congressional Cemetery enters one of its most exciting times of year. The transition to the glorious hues of fall foliage mark the beginning of field trips for school children, happy dogs and their people enjoying the crisp weather, and of course, the return of Soul Strolls.
But this year, fall also brings another important milestone: the next Community Meeting in our Master Plan process.This meeting, hosted by Christ Church, the cemetery's owner, is your opportunity to weigh in on the concepts and recommendations that will shape the next decade and beyond at HCC. From preservation priorities and landscape design to programming and sustainability, the Master Plan will be our roadmap for the cemetery’s future.Your voice matters. This is a chance to make sure the values and needs of our community are reflected in how we steward this historic landmark for generations to come.
