Suffolk Master Gardeners are collecting clean, black plastic plant pots in good condition for reuse in programming right here in Suffolk, like propagation projects, the plant sale, and our pollinator day plant giveaway. Help us keep usable plant pots in good condition out of our landfill! Stack them up and bring them to us.
What we CAN take:
- Gallon or quart black plastic pots in good, clean condition.
- Smaller pots, seed-starting trays, & flats in good, clean condition.
What we CANNOT take:
- Pots covered in mud.
- Pots full of wet leaves.
- Pots infested with ants or spiders.
- Broken or torn pots.
(As volunteers, we don't have a way to transport, store, or dispose of pots we cannot take. Please help us by disposing of those elsewhere.)
We can also answer gardening questions and share how you could volunteer in your community as a Suffolk Master Gardener.
