The University of Florida/IFAS, Duval County Extension Service’s Family and Consumer Sciences Volunteer Program is recruiting volunteers to help deliver research-based educational programs in food preservation and nutrition.
The Master Food Preservation Volunteer Program is a comprehensive 5-week hybrid training course designed for individuals interested in learning safe, research-based food preservation techniques while supporting community education. Participants will receive instruction in best practices for food safety, food preservation, and nutrition, combining online learning with in-person, hands-on training to provide both foundational knowledge and practical experience.
Where: The MFPV training program will be held virtually and in person at the UF/IFAS Duval County Extension Office-1010 N. McDuff Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida 32254
