Master Composter Networking Event at East New York Farms!
About this Event

We are partnering with (ENYF!) and for a Master Composter Networking Event at the East New York Youth Farm to meet up and share your experiences in composting with other like-minded Master Composter trainees and graduates. There will be light snacks and a selection of non-alcoholic refreshments provided. Expect games, exciting raffle prizes and special events detailed below!

  • 4pm: ENYF! Staff will lead a tour of the Compost Site [for certificate credit]
  • 5pm: 's Domingo Morales and Carlos Rosario will lead a Rodent Reduction workshop. NYC and other big cities have rodent problems. Learn how to use the Rodent Reduction Rubric and become part of the solution. Compost doesn’t bring rats; poor design and broken systems do. We will cover site design, site inspections and best management practices in urban spaces.
  • 5:45pm-7pm: More networking + a raffle!

**Registration REQUIRED**

We hope you can make it!

Directions/Site information:

  • This event will be held outdoors at the Farm. If inclement weather, we will move inside to a nearby indoor space.
  • Mass Transit is nearby (3 Train at Van Siclen Av is closest)
  • Street parking is available.

This event is open to all ages and while the Networking Event and Rodent Reduction Workshop do not count towards any requirements for the Master Composter Certificate, the Tour would count towards the Field Trip requirements.
