About this Event
How can charities demonstrate the difference they make — not just what they spend, but what they achieve? And how can this information be prepared and audited in ways that are meaningful, credible and practical?
Service Performance Information (SPI) is becoming increasingly important in how charities and public benefit organisations communicate their performance and impact. Yet, it remains one of the most complex and evolving areas of reporting and assurance.
BDO New Zealand and Massey University invite you to an engaging and practical session that brings together research insights and real-world experience to unpack these challenges.
The session will explore:
- What makes a meaningful performance measure and why it is difficult to capture
- How charities can better align performance measures with strategy and purpose
- How to design processes and controls that support performance reporting
- What auditors look for in practice
Drawing on both research and professional experience, the session highlights where reporting and auditing standards meet real-world constraints and how practitioners are navigating this evolving space.
The session is suited to people involved in service performance reporting and to anyone seeking to understand how non-financial performance is reported and audited.
