Film Screening: Women with the Issue of Blood
๐ Saturday, May 30th | 11:00 AM
๐ Chevy Chase/Bethesda Library | 8005 Connecticut Ave, Chevy Chase, MD 20815
The Maryland Chapter invites you to join us for a screening of Women with the Issue of Blood (WWIB), a powerful and urgent documentary that amplifies the often-unheard voices of Black women navigating gynecological disparities in the U.S. Blending expert commentary with deeply personal testimonies, the film reveals the complex realities behind the rising rates of fibroids, painful periods, and hormonal dysregulation. Inspired by the biblical story of the woman with the issue of blood, it explores faith, resilience, and the generational cycles of neglect that continue to shape womenโs healthcare. More on the film here: https://www.wwibthefilm.com/
Following the screening, join us for a post-screening Q&A and light refreshments as we continue the conversation together.
This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required.
