Celebration Details

11:30 am - Community Gathering at the Utah State Capitol: Gathering of community and leadership to build connections and unity

Noon - MLK Celebration Program: Invocation, Song, Youth Reading, Remarks & Reflections by Community Leaders & Elected Officials

1:30 pm - Celebration Walk to the Gateway:

2:00 pm - Community Choir Concert at the Gateway:

2:00 pm - Community Service Project - Donation Drop Off Center at the Gateway:

About the Celebration:

The Beloved Community MLK Day Celebration Committee aims to create a platform for reflection, celebration, and community service; promoting Dr. King's vision of Building the Beloved Community. The Utah MLK Day 2025 celebration provides an opportunity for positive dialogue and unity on issues such as Homelessness, Disability Equality, Economic Opportunity, LGBTQ+ Equality, Women’s Equality, Refugee/Immigrant Community, Healthcare, and more.
