Join us for a fantastic weekend of training and friendship at the Martial Arts and Health Expo 2023 in Thunder Bay, the Martial Arts Capital of Canada. More than 30 seminars offered by expert instructors, Expo Banquet and Blackbelt Testing conducted by Hanshi Mady.

Daily Meal Plan (Dine-In, Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner 'All you care to eat') Choose from a rotating ‘steam table’ menu, soup & salad bar, dessert & beverage stations, and rotating 'pop up' options such as international cuisine, pizza station, deli counter, and pasta station.

AVILA DORMITORY HOUSES (single bedroom, shared facilities)

One Night Stay: from $55.00 per night
Three or more night stay: $35.00 per night
The Avila Residence has 2 floors with furnished single-bedrooms with full linens included. There are two common lounges with a TV/cable and couch seating. There are small 'kitchenettes' on each floor with sink and microwave, coffee pot, toaster, tea kettle; each area has shared single-stall washroom and shower rooms. There is a sheltered outdoor bicycle storage facility available and a card-access laundry facility assigned to each dormitory area. WIFI is available throughout the building. Maximum occupancy per bedroom is one person.
APARTMENTS - per UNIT (four bedrooms)
Availability: 12 units - floor to be determined
One Night Stay: from $300.00 per unit
Three or more night stay: $200.00 per unit per night
The apartment units offer four individual bedrooms with single-sized beds. Each unit is fully furnished, complete with storage room (vacuum, mop, bucket, broom and dustpan), full kitchen (fridge, stove, freezer, microwave, and dining table), and four-piece bath with WIFI throughout. Card-operated laundry rooms with an iron and ironing board are located on site. Barrier-free units are available upon request and based on availability. All units come equipped with TV/cable, coffee maker, tea kettle, toaster and 4 coffee cups. There will be an initial two rolls of toilet paper in the washroom and 1 full set of linens & bedding in your bedroom. *Washing and Replenishing is the responsibility of the guest. Maximum occupancy per unit is four people (one per bedroom).
Upgrade to a Fully Equipped Apartment: Fully-equipped tote boxes can be requested based on availability for a small extra fee and include: 4 place settings, cooking pots & pans with utensils/cutting board, kitchen knives, tea towels, oven mitts, etc.
KENORA Dormitory Suites
Availability: 8 Double Beds / 4 Single Beds
Kenora House room bookings are on the third floor in our Bartley Residence Building. The rooms are divided into furnished single and basic single rooms with single-size or double-sized beds. The nightly rate ranges from $60 to $75 per room per night. The house has a separate male and female washroom and access to a card-operated laundry facility in the main floor of the Bartley Residence building. All bedrooms have a telephone, WIFI internet access, bed linen and blanket, pillow, towel, face cloth, bar of soap, plastic cup, a snack sized refrigerator, desk and desk chair, TV, bookcase, bulletin board, closet with dresser and clothes bar/clothes hangers. There is also a small kitchenette on the floor with a sink, microwave, coffee maker and kettle.
