Join us for a free one-day symposium dedicated to exploring the cultural history, artistic development, and community impact of El Movimiento Artístico del Río Salado (MARS).Founded in 1978 by and for local Chicano artists, MARS played a vital role in shaping the arts landscape of Phoenix—often in defiance of exclusion from mainstream Southwest galleries and institutions.
